In 2007, I went to Phoenix, Arizona, for a youth ministry training convention and discovered the beauty of desert flowers, mountains, and heat – LOTS of HEAT! Although I got spoiled by a fabulous resort and Uno’s pizza, I never got to see the Grand Canyon or much else beyond the resort.
