Sometimes a girl just needs new clothes. Particularly when a paycheck comes in the mail. Especially when spaghetti sauce splatters on a fairly new aqua boyfriend tee and the stain sets in. Sorry, boyfriend tee. You’ll only be worn in-house from now on.
Approximately one hour of shopping produced no results at the first store. That store had a lot of clearance items, but they weren’t organized by size, brand, color… anything that would have waylaid the mind-numbing, eye-glazing that occurs after about 20 minutes of flipping through clothes.
The second store’s clearance racks were super organized, which made me very happy. Right now, I’m curled up on the couch in the sweatpants and cozy thermal top I bought today. Of course, being in Florida, the temperature in my house isn’t cold enough to warrant sweats and a long-sleeved shirt, but who can resist the allure of new clothes?
This isn’t the exact shirt that I bought, but if you follow the link, you’ll be able to click on the different colors and find it. Mine is blue with green birds printed on it. I’m normally a small or medium in juniors, and I got a medium in this top. If you don’t want it skin-tight, I recommend ordering it in the larger end of your size range. I want to get more of these so I have some to wear as pajamas this winter.
I found tan corduroys, which I’d hoped to get this fall. I tried on my normal size in women’s clothes, and the cords fit me like they were made for me. Because they’re skinny, I have one more excellent reason to get riding boots, which I predict I’ll have by the new year. I saw corduroys in several rich fall colors, so check those out to add some beautiful hues to your wardrobe.
I also purchased this fun sweater in a size small, which was loose enough.
Now, as my husband pointed out, I have four items of clothing with horizontal blue stripes.
What clothes have you purchased recently?
My successful shopping trip made me happy, but it also made me sleepy. Good night, y’all!
